About The Show:
In the wake of their brother Joey's passing, estranged adult siblings Krysti, Michael and Brian uncover a box of dusty cassette tapes upon which Joey recorded countless treasured memories. A journey into their past inevitably rips open old wounds and begs the most difficult of all questions: forgive or forget?
Casting for The World’s Cassette Library includes Reed Campbell (Gun & Powder at Papermill), Andy Christopher (Rock and Roll Man), Logan Farine (Rent national tour), Olivia Gjurich (Fiddler on the Roof national tour) and Sumi Yu (Greater Clements at LTC).
The creative team includes Direction by Shannon Molly Flynn (Normal Ave), Music Direction by Chris Gurr (Back To The Future). Stage Manager is Caroline Pastore (Dead Outlaw) with Erin Reynolds (Hadestown) as Dramaturg/Assistant Director.
The band includes Gurr on piano, Samuel Quiggins (American Pops Orchestra) on cello and Jordan Ross (The Get Down) on drums.
The World’s Cassette Library was selected as a featured production in Open Jar’s 2nd Annual Broadway Shark Tank in October 2023.
The World’s Cassette Library is presented as the third offering of The Stage Door Foundation’s Broadway Workroom Series, a groundbreaking move to champion the arts and empower the development of theatrical artists and new works. This initiative provides creative teams with free studio space and technical support to further the development of their creative projects. At the end of the development week, the public is invited, at no cost, to experience this dynamic new musical in concert at Open Jar Studios.

About The Stage Door Foundation:

In The Light
IN THE LIGHT follows Dr. Johann Faustus, an astronomer accused of blasphemy by the Holy Inquisition. Guided by a mysterious being, Johann and his wife flee to a small town, where he meets a scholarly young woman named Gretchen. Gretchen believes Johann can help rebuild her town and influence the new Baron. When news of the town's rise and Johann's supposed miracles reaches an old rival, Johann must resist the temptation that his ambition yields, and Gretchen must make a choice between living authentically and saving her town.

These Scottish lyrics have been sung the world over for hundreds of years, but few know the legend behind them. Through a Celtic-inspired modern musical theater score, the new musical Loch Lomond breathes stunning life into a fable previously lost to time.
1745. The height of the Scottish Jacobite rebellion. When two Scottish rebel brothers are captured by the English, they are faced with an impossible choice, a ticking clock, and the end of their heroic ambitions. With only six hours left until their fate is decided, brothers Lyle and James must reconcile their desire for freedom and glory with their loyalty to each other… and their love for the women they leave behind. The Broadway Workroom is designed to showcase emerging artists' work by providing rehearsal and presentation space, including technical support, at no cost to the production in order to help the team further their creative goals along the developmental journey. At the end of each week, the public is invited, at no cost, to experience these dynamic new musicals in concert at Open Jar Studios (1601 Broadway). Tickets for each concert are free, and attendees are encouraged to make a donation to The Stage Door Foundation to help fund their programs.
The Broadway Workroom Series provides a rare opportunity for Broadway enthusiasts to witness the evolution of new musicals, a process typically reserved for industry insiders during private "workshops" or "readings. The series’ vibe is to present glimpses of shows in their development phases, with focus on the writing and performances and less attention to production value.
